I get frustrated that the Dutch "lidwoord" is not clearly included when I look up the Dutch translation for an English word. Occasionally I can find it through the examples given, but often I have to still look the word up in a Dutch-only dictionary to get this information. It seems to me that the application was created more for people learning English, but believe it or not, some of us are trying to learn Dutch and we need to know if words are "de" of "het"!

Love this app! They included the het and de for each noun, which is very helpful. Easy to use, love it!

I just deleted this app because it doesnt work. It is totally frozen. I even tried reloading it and I still cannot do a thing with it.

The app only features conjugations for verbs in English. Conjugations for Dutch verbs are missing.

I have been waiting for months for a decent english dutch dictionary and finally it arrived. I rate it 4 stars because this dictionary doesnt contain all words of the comprehensive "Grote Woordenboeken". I certainly would give 5 stars to a full edition of the "Grote Woordenboek Engels/Nederlands" and hope this will be released soon.

Ive been using this dictionary for a while now and have to say it has amazed me. No need for an internet connection and the fact that you can type in the approximate spelling of the word youre searching for and find what you want is worth the price right there. But the thing that really astounds me is that when youve found the word you want and youre looking through all the different examples of how that word can be used, if theres a word you dont know you can touch it and it will take you to that word. Hours of endless education! How did I ever live without my iPhone and this dictionary?!

This is an excellent application. It lists numerous idomatic expressions and its "create your own flashcard" feature is useful. However, it is geared for native Dutch speakers. It gives pronunciation of English but not Dutch words. It gives grammar and conjugations only of the English. It does not list genders or plurals for Dutch nouns, or irregular forms of verbs. I hope they match the Dutch dictionary features to the English in updates.

Now includes IPA, just as good if not better than native audio. Great sample sentences and dictionary format with precise definitions and semantics. But please make this improvement: 1. Add Dutch Verb Conjugations

This app does not work in iOS 5. I put it on an iPhone 4s with iOS 5, an iPad 2 with iOS 5 and an iPhone 4 with iOS 5. None of these work. I put this information up 4 days ago (Friday) but it was never published. Perhaps this will not make it either.

I used this app every day and its a really great resource, but after I upgraded to OS5, no more; now all I see are cascading style sheet information and its pretty much unusable. Before, though, I thought a nice addition wouldve been Dutch verb conjugations. I sure wish theyd fix this app, because now its just taking up space on my iPhone.

This app does not work with iOS5 in both iPad and iPhone. It is completely useless now. Please fix.

With the new update, it works again with ios 5 and even has larger text which is nice. Its still lacking Dutch verb conjugations and only has the English verb conjugations. This has been my number one concern since I downloaded the app, and payed a premium price to boot. So this isnt complete to me.

I looked up 3 words so far and not one was in the dictionary, so I had to look it up in the traditional Van Dale book version. If you dont know how to translate butter or house, then this app is for you. If your vocabulary goes beyond the basics then this is utterly useless.

I bought it to try to help learn Dutch. All of the instructions are IN Dutch and the translator does not know conjugated words so it can be VERY difficult to translate most verbs. I think I would return it if I could. Not worth the $10

This app has LOTS of information. Ive been using the dictionary to look up (and understand) Dutch words. I really like the "search all" feature that allows you to see, e.g., a conjugated verb in context. Im not sure if theres an easy way to look up the entire conjugation of a verb. If there is, then Id give this 5 stars

A great thorough app. I am using it to learn Dutch vocabulary while keeping my physical dictionary book at home! But I have one little problem. I use iOSs "Speak Selection" feature to read the Dutch words for me, as there is no audio for them, but in this app, and this app only, iOS Speak Selection runs at top speed, too fast… So I have to use the phonology to figure out how to speak Dutch words, or type a word out in another app and use Speak Selection there, to listen to pronunciation. Other than that, this is a perfect Dutch-English dictionary, with features like favoriting and flash cards to help me out!
